  • Imagine being on there and being shelled by a German battleship

  • @MAJORSNODGRASS

The threat was not from ships but from aircraft. They were such a difficult target that not one was ever hit. As you say, it would not have been a pleasant experience coming under fire.

  • Whats the music? Serious shredding!

  • @SvenTviking

It's from YouTube's library supplied by Musicshake. I'm sorry I didn't nake a note of the track or artist

  • Wow, I didn't even know those things existed. Would be nice to get up on top of one.

  • If you didn't know better you would think they came straight out of a "MYST" computergame.

  • Now I know where Spielberg got a lot of the imagery for those alien-robotic/war/shooting- machine looking things.

  • I don't know why, but these give me the creeps

  • @bayside2000 Ta!

  • I am 49 and always viewed these from Leysdown as a child. Now my close up view curiosity has opened up my eyes.

    Thanks for filming

    Terry
