Takehaya is the head of rebels' group SKY. For people played original '7th Dragon' can understand who he is, and his importance in this game.

He's most definitely important, as I've seen already. But this stuff is good to know, since I can't actually read the game I am playing (and as such, can't really play the original either :V)

Yes, he appeared in the original game already as 'Jinrui Senshi (Mankind's Warrior) Takehaya.' Get it? You might already have heard that they are planning to make five '7th Dragon' games, and this '7th Dragon 2020' is supposed to be a non-main story, but 'gaiden ( (supplemental one)'. I would think this '7th Dragon 2020' just shows us the very beginning of '7th Dragon' story...
