Great piece of music history seeing Aretha live. For certain most live gigs can only / are best appreciated when you are there. Watching a video like this, if you weren't there, is a bit like kissing your sister ! Listen to the studio recording - preferably in a club - if you want to get what it's all about.

why don't people understand that as long as you try to judge musical artists by their appearance you will be listening to garbage? Was Aretha Franklin one of the best looking women of her time, well no. She only had "the voice of God", but that was enough to sell records. video really did kill the radio star

@TheHEARSEDRIVER back in the day women with curves and a healthy body were sexy. Marilyn Monroe wore a size 12 dress and a size 8 pants, not sizes 2 or 0.
