having video or normal cam in the musem is with fee depands from 10 to 20 dollars no flash allowed at all and no photographes allowed at all in mummies section
I had the pleasure of seeing King Tut exhibit when it came to the States - I will be in Cairo next month and look forward to seeing it again. I heard you can film but no flash.
King Tut ruled as a teenage Pharoah. I myself like the idea of teenagers running the government - be it over 3000 years ago, in King Tut's time, or today!
to answer your question , NO FILMING OR PICTURES inthe museum at all. U have to leave your camera out and cell phone with camera options areleft outside also, just there last week thanks
I visited the cairo museum last summer (2009) and I had my phone on me - which has a camera option. They allow you to have it, just not take any pictures that's all.
it seems that somepeople have there camera phones on them so mustaf points out maybe thats the reason none of us other folks can take a camera nwo into the museum, and dude i was just there last week , thanks
To answer the question below ... NO, they won't allow filming unless you pre-arrange and pay between 4000 - 6000 Egyptian pounds (about £400 - £600 UK) I had to pay for a filming permit in most locations with Pro gear, but happy snappers should be okay 70% of the time.
