Santry Stockcar Racing 1992 - Race # 4 (Dublin Ireland)

Test Footage : Video of Stock Car Racing from Santry in Dublin Ireland (circa 1992). This race shows an accident where the driver was lucky to escape with his life. His car crashed and burst into flames mid race (1:55). The impact seemed minor at the time as even the cameraman did not relise how bad it was. Within seconds the car is engulfed in flames as the two drivers are seen escaping, one of the drivers is ablaze and desperately tries to extinguish the flames. Thankfully he was able to walk to the ambulance and although he is clearly in complete shock he had no life threatening injuries.

I used a super slow motion tecnique (Intra Frame Morphing) to slow it down as the original only lasted a few seconds.

jases cant believe it i'm always searching on the net for footage of santry an neva find anything, and then i find this, I remember this so well that yellow cortina on fire is me da's kevin butterly # 43,me da's car got pushed in ta heno's car heno's car burst inta flames with him in it he got out of it on fire i'll neva forget it me da had ta grab em an put his jacket around em ta put em out , ya can see me da on de track with his jacket in his hands,jases de memories, please put up more!!

@indyzzr do you still have a Video player if so you can get software in PC world or Harvey Normans ALDI also have it too check them out as well they come with all the Cables & software you need to covert to PC.

But if you cant be bothered with all the hassel there are places in town than do a VHS to DVD Tranfare for around €20

God!!!! i used to be in school and wishing it was Sunday again who remembers even back in the 80s " 199 Bionic Banger or the big Jag called JAWS and the mini cooper cant remember his name but he was a great driver he used to win every week and was Small Stockcar Champion Many Times What happened why did it stop does anyone out there know

and who remembers when drivers came from the North to compete too!!!!!!

god i remember this day like it was yesterday, john hennessy the fella that got burnt is me da, mad seen him run around the track on fire he was in hospital for months afterwords,still wants to race doh lol
