Fred Thompson wins SC Debate & Provides Huckabee a Smackdown

Should have shown Huckabee's response, Thompson was doing this for McCain and everyone knows it.

Thompson was horrifyingly dishonest.

Gov. Huckabee was voted one of the best governors in the US, was re-elected twice and had one of the highest approval ratings of ANY governor in history! Your opinion is obviously quite in the minority.

Fred Thompson is the closest thing the GOP has to a fascist, glad he lost.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Fred Thompson was for the least amount of government (aside from Paul) and the most amount of government intervention. Now, considering fascism is a police state in which there is complete gov't control, I'd love to hear your argument about how Thompson is a fascist. Or are you just picking up on the latest liberal, ignorant word-craze?

Thompson was not fascist and a great candidate in many respects.

But his voting record on major issues like campaign finance was more similar to John McCain.

Huckabee was the only Republican running in 2008 that was not a joke. McCain won because of his name recognition. I wouldn't mind Huckabee being the nominee in 2012, but his religiousness freaks me out.

What do you mean about Gov. Huckabee's religion freaking you out? I really don't understand this because EVERY president we have ever had (even Obama) claims to be Christian. Huck is no different from any of the others. him to be honest and open).
