8,800 RPM and 935 HP. Stock 460 block 30 over and 521ci stroker with Flow Technologies EX514 heads and a Pro-Systems Dominator. This is the engine break in run before we had a bed on her. This was one heck of a max effort stock block engine and it lasted 13 hooks before the #7 rod bearing spun and caused catastrophic damage. Also notice the 4 link rear suspension with no leaf springs... that is riding on Air Bags! This was build 1 of 2. The next build was much more interesting!

  • I did not have trouble. I ran an electric water pump (Summit has the Mazier? 460 pump) with a rad from a 79 Bronco with air cond and 2 electric fans (16" each) Cooling was never an issue. At the end of the track it would be getting warm, but we just shut it down once we pulled off and let the fans and pump run for maybe 2 min and we were ready to idle back to the trailer.

  • An idea of what that is:

Charlie Evans (Kentucky) Flow work on Flow Technologies EX-514 Cast Iron heads and EX-514 Intake.

    Pro-Systems Dominator

Crower custom solid roller (.920" Lift)

Jessel Mohawks, CV Push Tubes, Crower HIPO springs, Crower Solid Roller Lifters, Sonney Bryant crank, H-Beam rods, A-460 Block, Electric water pump, Electric steering, Aeromotive A-2000 fuel pump on 5/8" line, REV Titanium valves, Moroso pan and custom pickup (wet sump), Danny Bee drive, much more!

  • 5000-6000 RPM's, you have got to be kidding me! And you call yourself fordBBandSB4life!

A stock 460 with a mild cam and screwed in studs with pushrod guides can safely handle 6500 RPM's. I run an MSD 7 Digital+ Prgramable and set the rev limit at 8,800. It is what it is. Around Western PA, 8,800 is nothing extraordinary for a sled pulling engine. Thats why they cost $20-$30 grand to build. Un-obtanium brother!

  • maybe 600 horse, she sounds lazy

  • What transmission are you running in that...old t18, np435 manual, c6 auto???

    Thanks!

  • we used to have truck pulls here in Livingston county but the ass holes who ran the track allways charged to much for entry fees and they also pulled trucks them selves and never paid entry fees but would always stomp the dog shit out of the poor boys with their high tech stuff eventually people stoped going

  • Damn, you must be a fat ass! Add that to your obvious stupidity and mean-spiritedness and you must live a sad, lonely life. Lose some weight, read a non-fiction book and go make a friend. Do it today. I promise it gets better.

    Best Wishes, Emperor of Kraplakistan.

  • you have any trouble running coolant with the iron ex 514's?
