No, of course Islam isn't a religion of peace.
When one does any research on who Muhammad REALLY was, we seem he was just a tribal war-lord using a new religion he (And who ever his scribe was, since y'know, he was illiterate) made for political gain.
"Hey, I'm the new prophet of god, I was visited by a angel, now help me conquer Mecca and other cities so I can further spread my BS".
