---PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION FOR CHARACTER GUIDE---

"I'll protect the future, no matter what you do!"

Yay! My favourite character in the game! Or at least, she definitely used to be. Not so much anymore though, partly because doing these character guides you really start seeing an amplified good in all characters. Also, when I first played this game, in the demo, I was definitely strongest with Terra, and I played it as everyone a LOT until the actual game came out :D

Basic crackdown of Terra:
+ Her attacks are really good and varying rather than having the same basic attacks. She has both long range and close range attacks sorted really well, examples of Tornada, a close range HP attack that draws the opponent nearer and does repetitive BRV damage before attacking their HP and holy is a great BRV long range spell, a little slow and easy to block but good for getting opponents recovering/staggering from a move.
+ She has an amazing EXMode ability called Chainspell. I guess, in a way it's like Kefka's Exhilarating magic except not only do some of her attacks upgrade, they are cast twice! Awesome! Things like Meltdown which is a move that needs charging after usage (Terra will stagger in the air after the attack depending on how much you charged the blast) won't need charging anymore and will fire a medium charged one a little while later which is really cool too! Flood will be cast four times instead of two etc. etc. Really handy, especially in Tornado which will deal twice as much BRV damage before the hit!
+ Her speed is pretty good, too, especially in the air. Unlike our previous character in this guide series, Firion, she seems to do quite a bit better in the air. Such is my opinion. I know I mention speed as if it's absolutely crucial but I'm serious, it can be a huge factor in battle. Just not with Terra as I have never really had troubles with her ground or air speed-wise.

- Her EXBurst attack, Riot Blade (named after her desperation attack on FFVI), isn't really hard to do. Just keep tapping the right arrow key AND circle. It's a lot harder than say Clouds where you just button mash circle but it's not extremely difficult. The problem I have with it is how annoying it is, why do we have to do it? It's so stressful sometimes, too, like, ahh! Time limit! Mash!
- A lot of her attacks are projectiles (all attacks, save her chase attacks, are magical) which makes them fairly easy to dodge by your average opponent which is kind of bad. I used to find it really bad, but now that I've gotten better at the game, I have started to play more tactically and therefore know when to strike. For begginners and maybe people more into "ATTACK NOW!" methods, maybe not the best person for you.
- Recharge times, this girl has one of the longest recharge times in the game. By this, I mean the time it takes for her to be controllable after an attack. Meltdown fully powered especially, and sometimes if the opponents block a projectile attack, they have a very good chance of attacking you whilst she's still casting or something. Something to watch out for. Doesn't happen in a lot of her abilities too much, either.

Equipables for Terra: Clothing, Robes, Hats, Hairpins, Ribbons, Daggers, Staves, Rods and Bangles

Indepth Character Guide:
Okay, her BRV attacks aren't great, but there's enough of them to tactically equip for use in battle whenever you need. Blizzara is a spell kind of like Kefka's Blizzard-like spell except it doesn't split up or anything, it just zooms toward the opponent and, upon collision, will strike the foe again. If it collides. For me, this is an essential spell as it works more often than not and is good for pushing an opponent away/keeping them away (much like what she says when using it: "Get away!") I really reccomend that attack but other than that, up to you guys, she has some great BRV attacks to unlock.

Holy, as you see me use a lot in this video, is a great BRV attack that, when mastered AP-wise, allows you to branch of a very good spell called Ultima. Damage isn't too bad and it's consistent like tornado, just not as strong. Still, this makes having Holy a very good thing for Terra and I reccoment that along with Blizzara. When it comes to HP attacks, Terra has little, anyway, she has Ultima, like mentioned, Tornado, as mentioned, Meltdown, again I've mentioned it before and Flood, a ground spell that attacks the opponent from underneath, striking twice like bang *short break* bang. You have to be relatively long distance but not too long for it to work or it will just pop up in the middle of nowhere, not under the enemy. Good spell though, I enjoy it.

All in all, she is a great character, just not perfect. Master her and you'll definitely enjoy her. Prefer physical attackers? Fine, stick with them, I doubt she'll be for you (though she could be, don't give up on her without trying).

  • @JisouPHased tomorrow I'm at college xD That move that Golbz kept doing, Black Fang, I'm showing off in the next video because, thankfully, he never got round to using it here XD

Personally, I was nervous about playing as Terra as I've been playing as physical-attackers mostly in my spare time and that normally makes me suck but I didn't do too bad. I mean, I never got HP'd once :D
