Tagore was inspired by British songs and the melody of For He's a Jolly Good Fellow was adapted by him for his work The Fatal Hunt (Kalmrigaya). It was used for the hunters song Enechi mora enechi mora in Scene 5 (We bring, we bring spoils).

This set of British songs was recorded in Kolkata in April 2009 by two eminent Tagore singers, Debashish Raychaudhiri and Rohini Raychaudhuri accompanied by Hamish Hossain.

The Fatal Hunt was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and can be viewed on http://www.fipa.org.uk/repertory/classical.htm
