Great film. One of the most overlooked films of the last twenty years. Caine is phenomenal in this role of a man whose ethics disintegrate in the wake of his causing a shocking accident. One of the great nihilistic films ever made.

We've been devoted fans of this great film for 17 years and counting. Can't even say how many times we've watched it. A classic and it's great to see that there are others who share this view.

on my top film list. i've loved it a long, long time. i would think, given what's happened on wall street, this film would be shown everywhere! god, i miss art house theme nights!!! "he was your superior. NO HE WAS MY BOSS" i love that line!

Saw this film years ago and now have it on DVD. A cracking film with a great performance from Michael Caine. A shame it was overlooked by a lot of people.

A great film, underappreciated, virtually unknown except to critics, who laud Caine's and the cast's stellar performances and excellent script. I recommend it all the time to everyone I know.
