oh hey mike nice car man! ok well bye?

@pal215 you dont want to run lean at a launch. lean means really hot cylinder temps. = melted pistons. the richer you are the cooler the cylinders will be. the fuel cools the turbo as well. this car is targeting like 9:1 afrs w/ spark cut LC and like -12*-16* or -20* of timing. so alot of fuel no timing = a ton of boost with no load.

@jedwards09elmira Ummmm no and yes. The smoke is because of all the unburned fuel like you said. But, The reason all of that fuel is making it into the exhaust is because of his Anti-lag limiter. It's cutting spark and not fuel to limit the RPM's so the unburned fuel can hit the hot manifold and turbo. The gases then expand in the turbine causing it to spool the turbo while the while the engine still isn't under a load.

crazy sick

@jedwards09elmira no because its bezine fuel lol

@jedwards09elmira Is there a way to tune a separate launch map to lean out the AFR's so that it wouldn't run so rich when preparing to launch?
-
@jedwards09elmira Good work man!
All the black smoke is from the car running rich in anticipation of boost. the ecu knows it should be getting boost at these rpms, so it dumps additional fuel in just prior to the turbo spooling. Once the turbo spools and adds more air you'l notice the smoke going away because it leaned out
