Mode: Loop Function
Additional Pedals: Boss GT6
Amp: Line 6 Flextone II
Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Seven String

Song: 'Never Run With Scissors' by Vinyl Future

Line 6 DL4 Delay Pedal, demonstration of loop function. I play an excerpt from a song called Never Run With Scissors by my band Vinyl Future, you can find the rest of the song using the following link:

http://www.myspace.com/vinylfuture

I use the digital delay from the Boss GT6 initially, then harmonise the riff using the dl4, i then layer an ebow part on top, then a harmonised tremolo pickin part.

0.00 - 0.43: Riff (looped)

0.44 - 1.12: Harmony of Riff

1.13 - 1.57: Ebow part added

1.58 - 2.12: Tremolo Picking melody

2.13 - 2.57: Harmony of tremolo picking melody

2.58 - End: Hit 'Reverse' button = Entire loop backwards

If you have any questions or if you wish to request a specific demonstration of any of the equipment shown in the video, feel free to contact me through youtube or email me at my bands website at:

  • i tried to play this with my own DL4, and the 14 second loop was not long enough to play the loop you played at the tempo you played it. how did you do it??

  • Put the pedal on half time mode before you record the loop and this will increase the time from 14 to 28 seconds

  • What would you say. Boss RC-50 vs dl4, which would be better?

  • Depends what ur buying. A delay with a loop, or a dedicated looper

  • are you using any other delay or can you record loops with a delay signal from the dl 4

  • You can use a basic digital delay on the DL4 with the loop engaged. You dont however have access to all the delay modes. I am using i think a Boss GT6 to produce the other delay in this video

  • i tried to play this loop on my DL4 but the 14 second loop time wasn't enough to capture the full loop

  • again: amazing
