Rain - Original/5. movement from Suite For A Day for flute and piano

2011 has been a very turbulent years with lots of wind, waves, rain and big changes in the weather. Sometimes we have even seen some glimpses of the sun! In this video you can see some of these changes, accompanied by my song Rain written for flute and piano. The video is from Vågsøy, Nordfjord, Norway 2011.

Rain starts and finishes off with a quote from a folk tune from Østerdalen (Eastern part of Norway) found in the book Østerdalsmusikken by O.M. Sandvik. The rest of the song is an interplay between the flute and the piano trying to imitate the falling of the rain. And Eivind handles his Haynes flute in the usual elegant way!
