Inspirational Children's Book - Animation

The idea of this project was to tell a narrative through type abstraction and animation. The typography was designed to be the primary focus which was composed in a way to emphasize the meaning behind the words. This particular project tells the children's story called "I want to be somebody new." The essence of the story deals with a character named spot who isn't happy with himself, so tries to be other things. He turns into different animals only to find that there are problems with these animals, so he learns that it is more important to just be yourself. The type effects guide the viewer through the experience and bring all of these animals to life in a dynamic and simple format.
