With the big Coney Island developer bulldozing parts of their purchased land in Coney that housed a few popular amusements like the Batting Cages and the Go-Kartz so early in the stages of any redevelopment (since they still await rezoning from the city in order to continue designing what they have been proposing) many feel this is Thor Equities' tactic to sway the city to rezone the area to their benefit. This video dramatizes a Coney Island devastated by the possible event in which Coney becomes an oasis of empty lots waiting for development that may never happen.

its about time they fix that shithole.. as nostalgic as it was.. Coney Island became a shithole run by the low class where crime was high as teje area is full of government housing. The government realized too late that they ruined the area by building housing around water front land just as they now realize with the FDR east side NY.

Very well done. I lived in Coney almost all of my life and it is sad to see how Norman Kaufman and Hy Singer let this happen to the land where i grew up

They should take a good look at what made the people come there since the 1900 hundreds make it a place where people can go back in time bring back some of the old rides and many of the other things that made coney Island the no.1place to be in the summer in new York
