Cranes for Japan; from the world, to everyone this tragedy has hurt, with all our love.
This video was entirely composed of people online creating cranes for Japan, after the tragic events which happened. After several communities formed to make these cranes I thought putting the images together might send a message of hope, that we could all together communicate that the whole world loves and supports every single person in Japan and of course those suffering outside as well; relatives, family members, etc. There is an outpour of disbelief and heartbreak but also of hope, love, and prayer. If this can ease any bit of the pain right now I think I speak on the behalf of all those who made cranes that our wishes will have been granted.
Many, many people offered their pictures of cranes when I asked to use them in this video. Unfortunately I ran out of room [I didn't expect so many!] So please, post your cranes in the comments section if you can, to show that there are MANY more cranes made for Japan beyond the ones I was able to show in this video.

For the nay-sayers who insist there is nothing positive Japan can get out of the world coming together to make cranes for them... Did you know Japan sent a thousand cranes to the USA after 9/11?.... I think that means cranes mean something to them...... Link; http://articles.cnn.com/2009-12-17/living/origami.gift_1_origami-cranes-sadak...
And I quote the end of the article; "Although the incidents were different, I hope we can help each other work for world peace from now on." Though it was a reference to the atomic bombs/war crimes vs terrorist attacks, I think natural disasters are in that same terrible category.
