Although tap code is much slower than morse code, it is also much easier to learn and can be used to communicate through a wall, which would require two different sounds if using morse code. Tap code is also more reliable as there is only one type of sound being used, and no possibility of mistaking two different types of sound. Also, practicing tap code requires no equipment, but can be sent with morse equipment if needed.

A reminder of the A-F-L-Q-V column I came up with is "All Following Letters Quickly Visualized".

Letter X separates sentences. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tap_code]

Series of quiet thumps is the erase signal.
One loud thump means "danger/emergency/disconnect signal". [http://talesofseasia.com/talktome.html]

Apparently, six taps have sometimes been used for letter K. [http://davidpride.com/Air_WP/WP_B439.htm]

Text in the video is taken from a picture of a U.S. military PW Tap Code card. [http://www.psywarrior.com/HerbDStorm011.html]
