Thank you for the support and kind words. Ive decided to go ahead with the surgery for my condition. Chronic Pain management without relying on narcotics is a very challenging road to follow, Ive become involved with a group of folks that are like me. They need to manage pain, but they need to help keep one another accountable.

I can relate, i'm not a christian, but fellow opiate user, funny, i'm on day 3. daughter being born next month, my opiate problem has basically made me a shut in and deprived my wife and i of valuable money that we need because we're so damn poor. but yes, opium = god = false idol, in christianity. Hello John....thanks for the reply. First of all I assure you that I will be Praying for your success, it's worth the effort !! I got cold feet about the surgery, Im just not convinced that it will make things better, as a matter of fact Im told that it could make things worse. Im checking into a tenz unit, I hear good things about it. Im glad that your going the taper route, if I had to do it all over that's the route that I would take. Believe me, You will find John again !!

You are an inspritation to me as I start to taper off Vicodin with the help of my wife, a locked filing cabinet, and God. I identify with your story very much. I just turned 59 and the economy hit me hard emotionally. I'm unemployed and feel worthless. I'd just like to ask you if you could keep me in your prayers. I know it can't go on like this and I have to stop. This is sure a shock at my age and for the past 4 years I haven't been able to believe it was me taking pills! Thanks, John

Ive been on Morhine for 3 years after 6 surgeries and withdrawls are a living hell! The goosebumps,hot cold flashes, vomiting, diareah sometimes at the same time. Sneezing 60 times in a row. Anyway Im going to try and get this nasty monkey off my back! Thanks for the video.

You are in my prayers! How are you doing? I'm sure you are feeling alot better being off that garbage. I had that problem also and you are right in saying that you "lose yourself." I turned into someone that I didn't recognize and it affected my marriage to the point of almost losing my wife. Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.
