Albania - My Wonderful Daily Grind

Aid to the Church in Need presents: The 120 person strong village of Iballe lies in the mountainous region of Albania - one of the most remote areas in the country. Isolated during the winter months, the district is marked by poverty and an inability to access even the most asic structures.
For many years, the region was also cut off from Faith. Enver Hohxa's communist regime executed, imprisoned or exiled the Catholic priests and churches were destroyed to eradicate the presence. Today, 12 years following the fall of communism, Catholic missionaries have once again taken up the task of serving the faithful.
This documentary considers a day-in-the-life of Fr. Leonardo, a Polish Franciscan missionary who has assumed the task of responding to the spiritual needs of the local mountain population. The task is not without challenges and often the physical obstacles, the frustration through an inability to respond to all the needs and personal isolation weigh heavily.
Fr Leonardo is a modern day missionary reflecting those same fears, concerns, courage and faith of missionaries of yesterday.
