stalingrad wasnt winter it was hitler, paulus noticed that he hade exposed his armies he asked to retreat so he could counter attack but Mr.Hitler didnt allow that at kursk russian spys warned their masters 3 months before the attack by december 43 they hade to send many men to italy and by 44 they were doomed... it was ONE winter that changed ww2

@Dixieopioid why if? In Siberia were only German POWs. Ucraine is warmer than Germany. And any intruders Russians will stand in position, with or without lubricant.
@tagaphon Well lettered, I may be an idiot but at least I don't believe people where sent off too Siberia for its warm and fuzzy climate. The Soviets had low temperature lubricants, the Germans did not along with many other things needed in sub zero weather.
