Wow, a video! Robert Zemeckis, the maker of The Polar Express, which is the notorious movie archetypal of the "Uncanny Valley" theory that there are certain styles of animation which just creep everyone out, decides to repeat it's mistake with "A Christmas Carol". So, basically we get to see "A Christmas Carol" rehashed yet again, but this time we're treated to four different iterations of Jim Carrey's creepified face. Each week, Film Fail brings you foolish comedy such as this, and basically anything that is excreted by my mind grapes.

  • I dont think its going to be that bad, afterall it's from the director of Forrest Gump-one of the best films ever

  • True, but he also directed the Polar Express, Beowulf and House of Wax more recently than that, which were all God-awful.

Do you think Avatar perfected MoCap?

  • I really don't see the creepiness in this movie's animation.

The reviewer definitely has a point about one actor playing so many parts.

  • Well, I think they purposely made it creepy. Most of the people who've seen the movie will probably know what I mean...the stuff that happens in it is messed up, even without the weird visual design.

  • The Polar Express creeped the hell out of me. I mean, I love Tom Hanks, but not evil dead-eyed zombie Tom Hanks replicant. A Christmas Carol just looks dumb and almost...offensive. Plus I can't stand Jim Carrey (except in Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind).

  • Worst adaptation: A Diva's Christmas Carol with Vanessa Williams as Ebony Scrooge.

Second worst: Ebbie with Susan Lucci as Elizabeth "Eddie" Scrooge.

  • He only produced House of Wax, that doesnt mean he was actually involved in the making-afterall i don't think any Oscar winning director would sink low enough to have Paris Hilton in his film
