ResQGARD™ Impedance Threshold Device Kit

The ResQGARD™ is an Impedance Threshold Device (ITD) that provides a safe, simple and convenient way to treat states of low blood pressure in spontaneously breathing patients. The ResQGARD™ provides therapeutic benefit as soon as a patient begins to breathe through it.

Supplied with ResQGARD™, ResQStrap™, Mouthpiece, Mask, Noseclip and O2 tubing.

Animal and clinical studies have shown that the ResQGARD™ increases blood pressure during hypotension from a variety of causes, for example:

• Orthostatic intolerance
• Hypovolemia
• Heat shock
• Dialysis
• Blood donation

Key Features

1. Non-Fluid Fluid Therapy
The ResQGARD™ allows the user to increase the blood pressure of the patient without using the traditional method of delivering fluids.

2. On/Off Therapy
If internal bleeding is discovered, the ResQGARD™ can be removed instantly with immediate results as opposed to fluids that cannot be removed from the patient as easily.

3. Saves Time
To establish an IV Line and run up a set of fluids it may take 2-3 minutes even if the patient has good veins, and even then it may take some considerable time to administer enough fluid to increase the blood pressure. The ResQGARD™ however, only takes seconds to apply and starts working straight away giving quicker results.
