The respected Grove Music Dictionary online says:
"Alcina.
Opera in three acts by GEORGE FRIDERIC HANDEL to an anonymous libretto after Cantos vi and vii of LUDOVICO ARIOSTO’s Orlando furioso, adapted from the libretto for Riccardo Broschi’s L’isola di Alcina (1728, Rome)...."
