yea it is awkward but normally you always have control still one handed.
we train one handed for night shooting, holding a flashlight in the other hand and shooting when running.
i agree on the safety issue but shooting one handed is just another way of doing it, no safety loss just accuracy loss. i can understand where your commin from but its not a big deal really
