@Sivels Yeah I realised that it solely depends on the kind of texture you want to put out of the instrument. But I personally cannot stand dissonance, so I'd only dish out a dorian when over said chords. I never ever lay out an 'exotic' mode on a regular change, it just sounds...iffy to me.

@leoseanster Well, it needn't be, in any case the resulting sound would be that of a 6th or a dom7 chord. Wwell, I guess there are several ways you can think of it. If you leave it just as a basic major chord you can switch between different scales and produce interesting sounds.
