The 'Lizard of Roz' was actually refers to Rosalind Russel's husband. It was an insult from the mouth of Ethel Merman who was a little upset over Roz getting Gypsy....

This is too funny. I know this movie so well I could recite it in my sleep, but I never would have thought to 'butch up' Roz's voice! My favorite line too: "Well, when you're from Pittsburg, you have to do SomeThing!"

Actually, by adjusting the speed of playback I was able to give the Lizard of Roz a transsexual "bend" to her voice. No additional audio was recorded.
