I have an interest in Victorian-era photography and fashions, so I thought I would put together a compilation of various pictures on the internet set to music. In the mid to late 19th century, photography was a very new invention and technology that only the wealthy and reasonably well-off could afford on a frequent basis. The artistry of the photos are very interesting and capture moments in history. Photography was also a very important interest in the royal houses of Europe - many royals were accomplished photographers themselves and a few even had books of their photo albums published. So here, with a song performed by Mychael and Jeff Danna are some very fascinating and lovely portraits during the reign of Queen Victoria. Hope you all enjoy and Happy Holidays everyone!

  • That was beautiful, I love looking at their clothing, the women's hair how pretty, compared today. I know were modern we all wear our hair long. They had long flowing hair and tied it up in bun. The kids were so cute, in their appropriate clothing of the day. Everything matched. The men were handsome, nice choice of music. Well done...:-)

  • I love these vintage sepia & B&W photos, Colleen!! This is one of my fav. videos of yours. You've captured this era with some fantastic photos; outstanding!!

  • Nice job, Drop Kick Murphy's Music?

  • What an amazing presentation. Thanks. "Haunting" definitely the correct adjective.

  • Very interesting, i like those pictures.

  • Very fascinating, interesting and unique video. Once again, you've hit upon the perfect subject for a video, along with beautiful music. We have another common interest, as I love the Victorian era as well. If I could decorate my entire house in that style, I'd be happy. Great job! Thank you. Hope you're having a wonderful holiday season.

  • Great, haunting nostalgic photographs. And the beautiful music fits perfectly.
