This is great werk. I just got an atari stf1040 and a cable for vga w/ rca out for an lcd connection. I can't wait to play maxYmiser. Have you been to preromanbritain site?
Also, have you tried anything w/ MSSIAH?

@m34nb34n Yeah, MSSIAH is neat but I like Cynthcart more.

I'd do the same if I were you cause sequencing maxymiser is uhmm..not so lively nor fun at all.
You're more like a "musician" kind a guy aren't ya!
Anyway that's a really fine setup you've got there especially the MC & the YM2149 sounds lovely together - a basic 909 kit with a funky syncbuzzer+sqrwave bass always give me goosebumps..
keep on!

@wax83 Oh, god no. I vastly prefer using a tracker for actually writing a song. I love the ability to form an instrument in detail that I get with maxYMiser. I come from a background in Fast Tracker 2, so the tracker style is far more familiar to me than sequencing on something like a groovebox which - strangely enough - I find less intuitive.

Nice grooves there!
You've sequenced all that with the groovebox or were da drumz just synced with
maxymiser's midi clock?
Funky anyway!

@wax83 The groovebox is doing most of the sequenced stuff. The drums and the pads are all sequenced and played from the groovebox, for example. The groovebox is also sending midi note data to the Atari ST, for that bassline. The guitar is not sequenced, though. It's played live via the buttons.
