Saying God COULD bring peace if we were already peaceful does not really address the question of how Jesus could be the messiah if he failed to bring peace. The OT prophecies do not simply say God CAN bring peace if he so chooses. They specifically say that when mashiach comes THERE WILL BE world peace. 2,000 years later this has still not happened. Either Isaiah & Daniel were false prophets or they were referring to a future event which has yet to take place.
