He would if it was still the 80s. Sadly, nowadays, there's no room for those great, deep and soothing voices that the BBC once had.

is that clip not from the tv show "not the nine o'clock news" starring rowan atkinson,mel smith griff rhys jones and pamela stephenson? i'm sure i saw that end clip used on an episode i watched a few weeks back when they showed it on paramount comedy 1 or 2.

You know it could be. I don't have the definite information, all I know is that it was recorded on the same night as Comic Relief, one after the other. If anyone can definitely clear this up I'd really appreciate it, so I can put in the right details.
I was purely going by what was on the tape, and in what order

they clearly used the wrong clock. Sure it aint 1986?

It could be, I'd have to check into it really, but I judged that it was 1988 from the adverts on the same recording that said 1988 on them. I'll look through the video more though.
If anyone else has information on this it'd be much appreciated
