Nice shots of Italy! I guess in some way they fit the music, but Dixieland Jazz at the Vatican? Hmmmm.

One Of The First Pieces I Recalled Hearing On The Radio, Growing Up In The 60's, But NEVER Knew The Title, Until Just A Few Minutes Ago!! Haunting & Jaunty At Once, It Pulls You In.

So reminiscent of the whole "beat" movement (much cooler than the yecchy hippies). Happy childhood memories. :)

Such a lovely video!
My new wife and I have watched it. There we will go.
Thank you, fine people.

First this song in March 1994.

This song is a very good instrumental that reached the number two spot on Billboard's Top 40. I think it should have been number one.

ME TRAE MUY BUEN RECUERDO LA MELODIA. No conozco Washington Square, pero aqui pude ver unas imagenes.

You guys are right that the song has a New Orleans/Dixieland flavor, but the title does indeed refer to Washington Square park in NYC.
I remember when I was a kid, hearing this on the radio, 610 WIP in Philly, back when it was Top 40 AM radio, and long before it became an all-sports talk station.

well this song always reminded me of NOLA & after a graveside ceremony...;-)~...a gr8 scene of people trotting off carrying their parasols in rainy weather...
