Being in the auto industry, I have seen others attempt this same venture. And every year, there is a new breed of unaware auto owners. So, I asked myself, what will make people want to read my book? One of the strategies was to make the book funny but I am not a comedienne. I take my profession very seriously. I want you, the reader or car owner, to take the maintenance of your vehicle seriously. It grates on my nerves that car owners do not see their vehicles as an investment.

Yes, I know, the vehicle depreciates when driven off the car lot. But it is still an investment. Maintaining your vehicle properly is an investment in your future. Without your vehicle, you cant earn the necessary funds needed for your creature comforts. There are several automotive repair books on the market, most all of them are boring. The last time I went to a bookstore, those books werent flying off the shelves, nor were the authors on Oprahs book club list.

Keep this book where you can easily get to it. Anytime you doubt what youre mechanic is telling
you about your vehicle refer to this book for guidance. Then, take a deep breath and calm down. If
you dont like what youre hearing; take your vehicle for a second opinion. Its your car. Its your
investment. You have the power. Youre in control of whats being done to your vehicle. From this
day forward, stand tall and take command of your vehicle.

The best source of information on maintaining a vehicle is found in the vehicles owner manual. Use this book as a guide. Be aware that some of the information will apply to your vehicle, and some wont. The owners manual is written for ideal conditions.

This book is not about the dos and donts of vehicle maintenance. My objective is to help you save
money over the long haul.
