Miklos Rozsa's recreation of ancient Roman music: began in Quo Vadis, then in Ben Hur and King of Kings is just magnificient. I endlessly admire his talent.

  • Yes, indeed "Quo Vadis" is one of his three favorites, "Ben Hur" and "El Cid" being the other two.

  • AS YOU WERE---I said your "El Cid Theme" was your best---I missed this, but now I've put it right. Your fingers might like the Love Theme from "Quo Vadis", on the Soundtrack [conducted x Rosza ONLY, on RHINO and old MCA CD], and "Quo Vadis Domine" . "The Egyptian" by A. Newman/B, Hermann may interest your talent for transcription.

Thanks for leaving your comments, suggestions on this and on other my videos. Down the road, I want to challenge "Ave Caesar (Triumphal March)" and "Quo Vadis Domine" from that movie. Though I like all big screen movies of 50's and 60's depicting the ancient worlds, as far as its' music is concerned, Miklos Rozsa's music is the I want to put focus on, with only exception is "The Ten Commandments" by Elmer Bernstein.

The "Quo Vadis" sheet music was publised by "Robbins Music Corporation" when the movie came out in 1951. It is hard to get because it is no longer in print, but it occassionary shows up in ebay auction.

  • What can I say mr Yamamshu. You play very nice. You have some small mistake but I think you will improve. I strongly suggest you buy a sampler/ synthesizer.

Bravo
