My second in-game video for this classic mech game. Instant action. Uncut (and shows my poor gameplay). Mainly for hosting purpose. Instant action again, but this time in the gorge map.

Make a video in cokpit camera- I don't like 3rd person

Actually, I myself also don't like 3rd person view while playing. I always use cockpit view when playing the game. I used the 3rd person view merely for recording this and other videos.

Nevertheless, thanks for your comment. I would think about recording some more videos in cockpit view while my computer can still run this game, though with occasional crashes.

Interesting. Your playing style is very different from mine. Did you lock your arms in a fixed position? I don't think your aiming reticle moved very much.

Yes. I rarely used freelook (moving the arms only). To be honest, this is because my coordination is not very good, and moving the torso worked better for me.

However, I'm trying to master freelook recently (though I only played once or twice several weeks, one or two games each time). Hope I can master this skill.

you're using the supernova right? Alan and Dominic using shadowcats. I lvoe this game, ia lso don't liek third person view but this was a memorable game

If Mechwarrior 3 stopped working because of Windows XP, this can easily be fixed by changing it's compatibility setting to Windows 98.

This will get the game to work but some people get a strange problem where mechs and vehicle bounce into the air and crash the game. If you are unlucky enough to get this then fix it by using dxdiag.exe and setting override to 60 to set your refresh rate at 60.

I have no idea how XP screws with the gravity in this game, but that fix usually works.

Ahh I see. I agree it does take some practice to do right. Once you do, I think you'll find this is one of the greatest advantages over the Mechwarrior 4 series. Best of luck!
