Independence Day 2009 Sierra Leone

On 27th of April 1961 Sierra Leone became independent from Great Britain. Independence Day is a national holiday and everybody celebrates. Afrocult together with World Report is organising a mask parade through Freetown. Traditional and modern music feed a happy crowd. Sierra Leoneans know how to party !

I was in Port Loko that year enjoying the Indipendence day...So nice...but Koromusu in Lunsar is the best event of the year...
