Lovely work on the shark.
-
good man but work on the solo there are alot of missed noted!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a little constructive critisism
-
@jbstuf ...as only Eddie could do..he botched something up, and still make is sound and look cool! Haha...that same article talks about how he the cut off the bottom horn of an SG to get his hand up really high for the slide noises on "Dirty Movies". If I can find it, I'll post it!

@jbstuf@motleycrue24 Hey man... based on an an old article I read, that guitar is an old Ibanez Destroyer. Eddie, always the experimentalist, in one of his "mad scientist" outbursts, decided to cut that V-shaped chunk out, to make it look "cool". Well, the body began to split, where the 2 halves were joined together! By his own admission, "I took a really, fat sounding, chunky guitar and totally botched it up" (paraphrasing). So basically, those clamps were put there to keep the body together.

Are you selling this?
-
Good Job. What guitar did you start with? (I am hoping you didn't cut up an old Destroyer).
-
Killer job on the guitar, MAD shit dude.
-
@motleycrue24 as far as I know, it was for tunable sustain. Its basically having the ability to adjust the rigidity of the guitar and have ridiculous sustain.
-
@tippmann981234 jejejejejeje That`s true!!!
-
nice playing and even nicer guitar man. great job!
-
what did you use to make this video
-
can wire it with a killswitch coz thats what ed did?
-
@mrblackassasin1 he built it
-
When he plays the solo, the guitar isn't plugged in -_-
-
@jbstuf did u get that guitar from Ed Romans guitar store or order it from him online?
-
What pickup are you using in the bridge?
-
@xXslash44Xx he did after th 79 tour it now hangs on the wall at 5150 studios
-
@motleycrue24 when he cut it up it lost it;s tone, so he thought he could get it back by putting tensioners in between.
-
-
@xXslash44Xx when he chopped it up the tone went from really fat and thick to thin and strat like
-
@jbstuf for sure definitely one of my favorites of ed's guitar collection
-
@JimmyF95 it is an ibanez destroyer.... I should know I bought it for him ...specifically for the making of the shark :) lol

hey is the wiring 2 volumnes?
dmohr7 1 year ago
@dmohr7 yeah two volumes pots, both for the bridge pick up.the neck pick up is a dud. so i use one pot full open and the other i can set the volume to whatever i want or all the way off.not the same as eddie's but it works really nice this way.
