Jesse Winchester is an American Hero. The world would be a much lesser place without him. If we'd had more leaders like Jesse, there'd be a lot more Americans alive today to celebrate his life. To those that do not know, Jesse has just won a battle with throat cancer. I for one am very grateful. His music has always been a sustaining force in my life. You go, Jesse!

Thank GOD Jimmy and Jesse were able to avoid Vietnam. I don't know where I'd be without JB's music or where his music would be without the influence of people like Mr. Winchester. What's more brave--avoiding a draft to avoid risking your life for something you don't believe in, or doing what your told and going to fight, even though you feel it's wrong?
