Spotify does pay artists. It's a pittance, but they do pay them. Don't attack people using a legal service that actual pays royalties, attack the service for not paying enough or the labels for signing agreements that don't really benefit the artists. Fans aren't the problem, they just wanna listen to music. Also, why don't you just calm down in general? This video is a parody, not a documentary.

The video is not just a parrody it's an ad carefully constructed and targeted to young kids perpetuating the myth that Spotify is cool and it;s a good idea... The only problem is the indie artists many of the kids love don;t think Spotify is a good idea at all because they don't like receiving 3 cents for hundreds of thousands of plays. Indie artists view this as an insult to them on the part of Spotify and if they don't speak out all kids will have to judge by is ads like this one.

Then the parents who are not all as clueless as the ones depicted in that video should have the talk with their kids about how Spotify is not paying the indie artists their kids love fairly at all!...Read the section on "Royalties" on the Spotify Wikipedia page then think about whether like to support the indie artists you love or not... it's your choice.

I'll respond to this how I did before when the original user asked. I don't care. I never did care. I was simply pointing out that his post was hypocritical with regard to the whole 'arrogant' facet. For some reason that immediately makes me a thief and ignorant and all that; but what people continually fail to understand is that I am not defending piracy as much as I am moderating peoples' hypocrisy.

It would seem that the original user agrees, having now removed his post.

No, you haven't said your point. Answer this question honestly and expand on your thoughts. Do you think using Spotify is right or wrong and why?

Well. What most people do is that they pay for spotify, free spotify isn't that good. I understand that it's tough being a musician today but I also think that the music indrustry should start realising that they have to change and not try to change their customers. By arguing with your customers about their behaviour you will not come far my friend. Adapt to their behaviour and find new ways to make money. People just don't wanna by one CD with two good song and ten average boring songs.
