One large diaphragm tube mic is good enough for any acoustic live session. Audible difference between brands is very subtle. Placement is the keyword. That was not optimal in this session. Usually the problem has been too loud bass drum, so being afraid of it I located the mic too far from drumset and bass. Using closed headphones might be an idea to consider in searching the optimal balance. At the time of this session I had only open ones and no time to monitor balance.
