That's debatable... I'm sure it's probably not a good idea, at last not in my opinion, but I know I'm not the only one that does this to their auto (another novice suggested it). I haven't noticed any ill effects yet (knock on wood). Also, I don't have a tranny cooler or anything, which I'm possibly considering for next year's season.

wouldnt that really harm the tranny? u kno manually shofting an auto?

You'll have fun, believe me! Here's a hint that for you, too: Manually shift through the gears, keeps you in the powerband MUCH better than using D. I need to have someone record some of my runs now, since I've got some experience under my belt.

whats your suspension setup now?
I have illuminas, eibachs, LTB custom stage 2, FSTB, SFC, RSB, RSTB but stock brakes upgraded with brembos and hawks.
I was planning on putting in 2, I hope to get a swap soon and make it manual someday down the road.

Wow, you've got me beat! I currently have the same struts/springs as you do, with NAPA blanks up front with Hawks, and a generic FSTB (stock rear brakes). I've got a Stage 1 LTB sitting in the closet and plan to invest in a RSB by next spring.
I've got no plans to lose the AT, I'm too lazy!
