  • very impressive!, but i do not have that kind of camera, what would be your advice, if i want to digitize a book, i mean what kind the camera do i need??, what would be the minimal requirements about the camera???

    thanks for your answer

  • @VanMedia Read in this page my answer to superanima or watch my video " Digitizing bound volumes II ", the audio is in Spanish, but includes titles in English.

  • @citroen2cv also can you answer me this? where did you get the stand to put the camera on? what's that stand called? it's not a tripod right?

  • @lucirz oh scan tailor, i'm already using that :D. i thought you used something else. it's not perfect, but its very good, especially for a free software. i wish that it would get more attention and donations, so that it can improve even more.

  • @lucirz To crop and enhance the images I'm using Scan Tailor. This russian freeware works specially fine with only text books. And fully automatic.

  • @citroen2cv what software do u use to crop and edit the pics?

  • In the video I am using part of a vertical stand Zeiss for the Contax camera that my father bought in the 60s. This device is not manufactured at the present, but you can find something equivalent in the catalogs of Kaiser or Manfrotto. A cheap alternative is to get an old enlarger and screw the camera in it. In some models of MeOpta (an probably other brands) you can easyly dismount the projection head and replace with a camera.
