If you traveled back 4 mil years to some Ethiopian hillside and gave our Australopithecine ancestors electric guitars, Marshall amps and of course a generator to power everything, this is the kind of music they would make. That stunning image of evil genius Iggy Pop standing on their hands near the end is right up there with Hendrix burning his guitar at Monterey.

Yeah, who gives a sh!t if they were "punk" or not? The only thing that matters is the fact that if it hadn't have been for them, and the likes of the NY Dolls, Velvet Underground, MC5, etc., punk would have never happened.

from detroit , the stooges were the stooges doing what they did .live recorded studio albums amps on 10, the labels came after. for everyone not the stooges. if i had only 3 songs to listen to the rest of my life no fun would be one of them, what other band plays a song twice in the same show?
