2.5/3.0 Monoblock, crankshaft, bore displacement are the same, just change bore diameter, and if you put camshafts by SVT in any 3.0 L engines, you can get 250hp ore more if you make a little more mods. big fun :)

thats the same motor in tats in my 1998 Contour SE, and thats a 2.5L not a 3L

Yes those too, I think the escape uses a different oil pan though.

No the cougar used the same 2.5L as the Contour. The 3L block is sourced from the DOHC 3L Taurus.

Its still the 2.5L heads and upper. Just a 3L block. Its called a Hybrid.

what paint did you use for the engine (ie: the shiny blue)?

It is powdercoated in Ford blue.
