the fly was awesome !!! heip me perfect for it]

This song originally was going to play during the credits of The Fly, but since it clashed emotionally with the last few minutes, it was cut. However, David Cronenberg liked the song enough to have it in the background of the bar scene.
I personally find that this song, whilst good, doesn't quite go with the movie like Ghostbusters or The Power of Love. Having it on the credits would have oversaturated the movie.

@TheMate01 There is, but I don't have one. This song was in the movie "The Fly" starring Jeff Goldblum.

I heard there was an official video for this. Anyone have it?

I believe Nile was a very big fan of Roxy Music....as well as the whole Euro-Disco movement that included Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Thompson Twins...etc...

@Bill486 I met Nile Rodgers In Paris in October. He was wearing a Roxy Music Tee shirt :) Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Thompson Twins were produced or remixed by Nile Rodgers.

yeah, I never heard of Chic as being described as the Black Roxy Music. Duran Duran were influnced heavily by both groups. Nile Rodgers , Tony Thompson and Bernard Edwards were not only sought after session players but worked with their contemporaries like Bowie or Ferry. But, Duran Duran were teenagers in Birimingham when Chic and the third version of Roxy were going strong. So I would say that Duran is a hybrid of Roxy and Chic and a bastard child of the Sex Pistols.

@bryanferryfan Very clever and good comment :) I discovered and became a fan of Roxy Music & Bryan Ferry cause of CHIC. I saw Roxy in 1982 during their tour with 3 CHIC background vocals.

great track,
bbbuuuutttt, your description is puzzling.
"Chic was known as the Black Roxy Music"? What? By who?
That is a bizarre description, and imo not at all apt.

Nile Rodgers was a fan of Roxy Music when he and Bernard Edwards created CHIC in 1977 : music + glamour.
And from 1977 to 1982 the 3 Roxy Music albums (Manifesto, Flesh & blood, Avalon) looked to some dance music.
So some rock critics talked about some black Roxy Music when they described CHIC.
Nile Rodgers worked for the forthcoming (2010) new solo album of Bryan Ferry.
