  • No catch wrestling tag? I recall this being at the very least implemented by Sensei Erik Paulson in his CSW lock flow series, and thought it had it's origins in Shoot or Catch As Catch Can wrestling.

  • @ColombianComplain I had actually said that this probably came down the CACC route. Erik is a great instructor to be sure!

  • As a wrestler with a good head and arm throw I just to thank you for all these awesome scarf lock attack videos! They are very much appreciated.

  • @soulinite You are very welcome my friend. Enjoy!

  • Scarf Attack options from scarf hold. This is a simple and fast submission.

  • Catch Wrestling for the win!

  • @OMaggard316

    purple.

  • @gaBehcuoDsuoitneterP I am student of Erik Paulson's Combat Submission Wrestling. I am not a direct student of him, but he would be considered my senior instructor. I am a student of a certified coach of CSW. I use the title of Sensei out of respect, though it is his official title. I guess rather than calling him Professor when hes showing BJJ techniques, Sifu during JKD techniques, etc. we just call him Sensei Erik. Wasn't trying to sound pompous, just showing respect/habbit

  • @ColombianComplain Everyone wants to reintroduce CACC as their unique Jiu Jitsu moves, a la Eddie Bravo's CACC guillotine. Call it the Twister and you make bank on your DVD, giving passive attribution to it's origins while calling it something completely different. Wish Sakuraba would start busting in on these guys as they're reintroducing this stuff to the world and subbing them with the hold they're trying to teach poorly.

  • @ColombianComplain Why do you call him Sensei? Don't think I've seen a student of his ever call him Sensei. Does Erik require you to call him Sensei or are you not his student? Just wondering.

  • Ari san,

I tried this out the other day, and found that with only one hand against his arm I did not have much mechanical advantage and it became a contest of strength and even with the head pulled away, my partner was able to easily resist. What am I likely missing that will give me more leverage against his shoulder? Thanks.

  • Why not going for the Ude garami?

  • is that a brown belt? or a really dark purple?
