first of all "doesn't'' doesn't work. second look at a map, iowa is a land locked state, its alot easier to prepare for a hurricane when you can track it comming in from an ocean. that was caused by heavy snowfall accross the midwest and about a week of constant raining. people began sandbaging to prevent the flooding, but the water was just to much to handle. yes this type of stuff does happen, all over the country, and everyone asks for help. its a risk people take to live where they want to l

We have been forgotten by the entire country. Please make light of this issue. We have whole neighborhoods standing empty. We have homeless families. We have no hope because there are greedy people overseeing the rebuilding process.

Well, doesn't certain places like such have floods every so often?
I know here in Florida, we have 6 months of hurricanes, with potential of hit or miss on completely wiping out everything in the path.
And those not hit directly, get flooded with endless rain, from the outskirts.
Back a few years ago, we lost all power for 9 days, to a category 5 hurricane.
So, nothing predictable like that over in Iowa?

yeah the last time somthing happened like this was the flood of 1993.but we shattered that recored by like 12 feet. you guys have hurricanes and we here in iowa have tornados did you here about the f5 tornado that parkersburge, iowa and destroyed everything and i mean everything.
