Bob Fenster, Kevin Larsen and Josh Pikulin cover The Shins covering The Postal Service at the 2005 Hillsborough High School Unplugged show. This didn't quite work... particularly my cadence in the second verse. Blecch.

  • hey is there any chance i can get the solo pick tabs for this? and also the different rhythm. is that a capo on the second fret? man, you really revamped the darned song.

  • It looks like the first fret to me, but I'm not sure at this point... Kevin (on the left) was basically playing roots and fifths while Josh was just vamping (without a capo).

  • wow... its a postal service cover of the shins... look it up.

  • Wow yourself.

I'm afraid you're wrong. It's by the Postal Service originally. The Shins covered it for a Postal Service EP (the one that also featured Iron & Wine's cover of "Such Great Heights").

    Look it up.

  • This made me smile. Its amazingly original, Well done. Keep up your brillient covers :)

  • Thanks, Katie. I wish it were original... check out The Shins brilliant cover. We basically covered THEIR cover.

  • GREAT GREAT voice. great guitars too nice job guys :)

  • woah

  • I love your voice. It's really great. When you go up for "when I'm screaming" - really nice. I kind of want to tie the guy on the rights hands behind his back because it's so distracting Sometimes less is more and it's such a good vocal... :D x

  • Haha, that's good then. :P

  • sucks to be you! hah, Don't worry. Life is better after highschool

  • Great song. Great cover. Although I dare say that the kid on the right is overdoing it just a bit (he's still good though). The Shins are really known for incorporating really subtle, yet complicated, melodic lead guitar. But then again, this is their own cover of the cover, so no complaints.

  • this is awesome!
