Do yourself a favour and google "sharpville weapons" and then click images. You see the very first image listed, Yes the TWO HUGE piles of pick axes pangas and the like, they might not be guns, but as there were THOUSANDS of weapons they hardly needed to be guns.

... I not saying apartheid was the best solution, but SA as a hole was surely better off with it, the Rand (currency) was stronger than the USD. There are even black people that agree that SA was better. What the media mostly leaves out, is that at a previous protest 9 Policemen got murdered, which made the police more forceful.

Now go make a documentary about the current state of SA and about the 52 murders a day and 300 rapes a day. Also include that Genocide Watch .org have placed SA at Stage 6 out of 8. Oh yeah, included that the so called land owned by whites, was originally bought from the black tribes, farmers are currently murdered with brutal torture methods with now apparent motive like robbery, the blacks complain about not being educated, but they burnt down the schools the government built ... continue

this would never happen in somalia we would fuck them up no chance how the fuck can the whites come to africa and tell us how to live our life.

Yeah, we apologize about that. The purpose of this documentary was for a 9th grade English class project (in the USA). Anyway, in retrospect, I remember we sort of did a half-ass job on it. Additionally, the constraints of the project gave us limited (and probably subjective) resources, which probably weren't the best for the integrity of the documentary. It was also completely scripted before-hand. Thanks for the criticism though - Narrator # 2 in the documentary :)

Dude, you can't even pronounce half of the names and terms correctly, truly laughable. You say integration happened, but integration is wrong by the same standards that apartheid is since it infringes on your right of association. Have you heard of BEE and Affirmative Action? How about the SA crime rate post 1994? The insane amounts of money the ANC government officials are wasting on themselves while the people they "championed" still stay in squatter camps...

@rioftheirish Have to agree with you this is only a onesided view from sombody far away. All secondhand information.

Unfortunately this is an EXTREMELY highlevel and one-sided view of South Africa. No mention is made of the violence accompanying the "struggle", both black on white, as well as black on black. No mention is made of the influence of communism, or the international cold war. No mention is made of how whites helped blacks to develop - they had no alphabet, no wheel, no technology. For years b4 1990, whites built a new black school everyday. No mention is made of the industrial development ....
this is the kind of thing I'll need to make for my modern history assignment. very interesting.
