Well, I've been trying to practice grabbing, but it's been going harder than I had hoped. Opportunities to grab were rare playing against the people this evening, as I almost always got attacked. Perhaps I have to approach Ike and Zelda in a different way than most other characters, or maybe I've been using characters ill-suited for grabbing.
It looks like sidestepping practice will have to wait. I still don't have the hang of this too well yet.
Match #1
Yoshi
Smashville
7:55 PM Pacific Time
The person using Pikachu here was apparently away from the Wii, and unfortunately, Snake was a poor sport. Fortunately, they underestimated me, and by the end of the match, I got my +4 as Yoshi. Poor Yoshi...he's always been a low-end character throughout the whole series despite dramatic improvements for each successive Smash Bros. game. Also unfortunate, while Ganondorf left, the Snake player continued as Kirby and decided to be an even more rotten sport, faking me out thinking it'd be a taunt party, then sneakily KOing Pikachu at about 6 seconds left.
Match #2
Olimar
Green Greens
7:59 PM
I had a request to have a match on Green Greens, and here it is. This is that following match I was talking about, where the Ganondorf apparently had enough of Snake picking on a helpless Pikachu. When I see this happening, I always go after whoever is getting cheap KOs like this, and it looks as though the Snake player identified me, switched to Kirby, and played "taunt party" until later on. When End of Day took place, Kirby made his way over to Pikachu and spent the time I couldn't reach him to KO Pikachu. So he decided to wait the whole time to trick me so he could KO someone who doesn't fight back. What's wrong with these guys? This is the worst case of this behavior I've ever seen. Is he a griefer?
Match #3
Wario
Rumble Falls
8:18 PM
Aftr about 9 consecutive matches of Final Destination, it was a giant relief to be playing elsewhere. I swear, the amount of Final Destinationers must be increasing. I often leave rooms when I've had enough Final Destination, only to be put into another room full of Final Destinationers. In this room, Zelda won nearly all of the matches. No one else could really do too much agaisnt her; she often got +2 or +3 every single match. Too much Din's Fire, you see--and if you get too close to her, she does the up smash or grabs you.
Match #4
Donkey Kong
Final Destination
8:34 PM
The purpose of showing this video is the appearance of Mr. Resetti. Nothing else, really. It's always a blast to see him appear. He distracted Zelda long enough for me to swing the battle more towards my favor. (You can see those frighteningly accurate Din's Fires.) I was close, but I couldn't overtake her in the end. I'm not sure what it was Captain Falcon did to make the Star Rod shoot four stars at once. Was that some sort of glitch?
Why do people choose the waterfall stage? Its the worst in the game!

It's one of my favorites, actually.
